We will review for the vocab quiz for 5 minutes.
When you finish your quiz, please pick up an "issues and decisions"

This paper is due tomorrow to be turned in.

Human Impact

Today we will be discussion and taking notes on the human impact on the environment.  This should complete the note packet you received last week.

We will spend the end of the hour reviewing for the vocabulary quiz tomorrow.  Please plan on studying tonight.

Test next wednesday over the entire note packet.

Ecological Succession

I am checking your "analyzing data" page 123 today for homework points.  we will go over the answers together.

Then we are taking notes and discussing succession.

Focus vocabulary.
You will have time to make flashcards or foldables for the 11 focus vocabulary words.
There will be a matching quiz Thursday.

Biogeochemical Cycles

I am checking your intro to ecology assignment today for completeness.  We will continues to go through the note packet focusing on the biogeochemical cycles today.
You may want to go back and make corrections after we take the notes.

Ecology

We are finishing the last couple of minutes of the human body video and then spending some time discussing the answers.
If you turned it in yesterday with the sub, I will give it back to you to complete and then recollect it.

Then we are beginning our ecology unit.

Inside the Living Body

Today we will begining a two part video from national geographic called, "Inside the living body".
This video will give you a better idea how our body systems function together to maintain homeostasis, one of the major concepts of our last unit.

There is a list of questions you may pick up from me.
These questions are due on Wednesday after we finish the movie.

Human Body Test Remediation

Today you will get your scantron from the test back.
I will give you the remediation.  See me if you are absent to pick one up.

You will have all hour to work on the questions you missed on your test.  Remember, you can use notes, book, and ask for help from me to make sure you get all the correct answers.

The remediation is due Wednesday.
The learning log for this unit is also due Wednesday for Extra Credit.  Some of you could use this extra credit.  Please due the log.
Also, if you would like to retake the human body test, you must complete the remediation and the learning log.  Extra credit will only be awarded if you turn in the log by Wednesday.

Osmosis Jones

Sorry about my lack of updating the blog.  The school's server has been acting up, but it looks like we are back up and running.  If you e-mailed me at all last week, I did not receive your e-mail.  Please send it again and it should go through.

Yesterday and today we are watching Osmosis Jones.  There are questions that go along with the movie.  See me to get a copy of them.

Last Friday we worked on the True/False activity.
You must have it completed by Wednesday with all your justifications written beneath the statements.

The objectves and review sheet (you received these many days ago) are due Thursday.
