We are finishing the last couple of minutes of the human body video and then spending some time discussing the answers.

This video will give you a better idea how our body systems function together to maintain homeostasis, one of the major concepts of our last unit.

Human Body Test Remediation

I will give you the remediation.  See me if you are absent to pick one up.

You will have all hour to work on the questions you missed on your test.  Remember, you can use notes, book, and ask for help from me to make sure you get all the correct answers.

The remediation is due Wednesday.
The learning log for this unit is also due Wednesday for Extra Credit.  Some of you could use this extra credit.  Please due the log.
Also, if you would like to retake the human body test, you must complete the remediation and the learning log.  Extra credit will only be awarded if you turn in the log by Wednesday.

Osmosis Jones

Sorry about my lack of updating the blog.  The school's server has been acting up, but it looks like we are back up and running.  If you e-mailed me at all last week, I did not receive your e-mail.  Please send it again and it should go through.

Yesterday and today we are watching Osmosis Jones.  There are questions that go along with the movie.  See me to get a copy of them.

Last Friday we worked on the True/False activity.
You must have it completed by Wednesday with all your justifications written beneath the statements.

The objectves and review sheet (you received these many days ago) are due Thursday.

Welcome to Biology B!

It is wonderful to see you all again and to meet some of you for the first time.

I am really looking forward to this semester.
There are a few changes you will see:
test retake policy and exam taking policy:
you may retake tests only if you have completed your review, remediation and learning log.
If you fail the retake, you will no longer be eligible for test retaking.
If your test average is 85% or higher, you may use the grade as your exam grade as long as you pass the final exam.

Today we are going over the syllabus. Please sign and return the info sheet.
and then beginning our pretest. It is important you try your best so the data I collect is useful. You will be receiving effort points for the assignment.
